Sosialisasi dan Simulasi Mitigasi Bencana Gempabumi Untuk Meningkatkan Kesiapsiagaan Siswa

Abstract


Gorontalo is a province where earthquakes often occur. Good preparedness is needed in dealing with earthquake disasters. Students as part of the school community need to play an active role in efforts to improve preparedness at school. Preparedness can be improved by equipping students with good knowledge. The purpose of this program is to increase students' knowledge and preparedness for earthquake disasters. This program was implemented at SMAN 2 Tilamuta, Tilamuta Sub-district, Boalemo Regency. The methods used were lectures and live simulations. There were 43 students who participated. The pretest result of students' knowledge obtained an average score of 60.93 and the posttest result obtained an average score of 83.72. This shows that there was an increase in knowledge and preparedness for earthquake disasters after students participated in the socialization and simulation of earthquake disaster mitigation.
