Program Pelatihan Positive Parenting Berbasis Psikoedukasi di Desa Cijeruk Kabupaten Bogor

Abstract

Parents play a vital role in shaping children’s developmental outcomes through the parenting practices they apply. One approach that has consistently demonstrated positive effects is positive parenting. By delivering psychoeducational training to mothers who are members of Pemberdayaan Kesejahteraan Keluarga (PKK), this program aims to strengthen effective parenting competencies while empowering them to actively educate the surrounding community. Such efforts contribute to fostering a generation that develops in a physically, emotionally, and socially healthy manner, and represent a tangible step toward achieving sustainable child and family well-being. This community engagement initiative implemented a psychoeducation-based training method involving 30 PKK members from Cijeruk village. Program effectiveness was evaluated using pre-test and post-test assessments, an activity evaluation survey, and direct observation. The pre-test and post-test results were statistically analyzed using a paired-sample t-test. The findings indicate that the psychoeducational intervention was effective, as evidenced by a statistically significant improvement in participants’ knowledge.
