Kualitas Berahi Pada Akseptor IB Sapi Brahman Cross Dengan Pemberian Pakan Berbeda

Abstract


The success of AI is influenced, in part, by the management of providing feed that contains sufficient nutrition to support production and improve reproduction in cattle. The aim of the research was to determine the effect of feeding Feedlot type (PMP02) on the success of AI in Brahman Cross (BX) cows. The material used was 80 Brahman Cross (BX) cows, the samples were selected using purposive sampling, the hormone used for estrus synchronization was PGF2α (Lutelayse) while for AI using liquid semen from Onggol crossbreed cows (PO) with motility above 40 %according to SNI standards. The method used in this research was experimental research, with Feedlot type feeding treatment (PMP02) for 1 month and Breeding type feed (BRW) as a control, the feed given was concentrate, forage and rice straw. The method used in this research is experimental research. If there are significant results, the trial is continued with Chi-square calculations. The variables observed were the onset of estrus (by observing every 4 hours after PGF2α injection), the characteristics of estrus (by observing the visual characteristics of estrous conditions). The nutritional requirements in the form of dry matter and crude protein contained in the feed provided at the research location have not been met, so this has an impact on the quality of estrus produced by BX cattle.

Keberhasilan IB salah satunya di pengaruhi oleh tatalaksana pemberian pakan yang mengandung nutrisi yang cukup untuk mendukung produksi maupun perbaikan reproduksi pada ternak sapi. Tujuan  penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pakan Feedlot jenis (PMP02) terhadap keberhasilan IB pada sapi induk Brahman Cross (BX). Materi yang digunakan adalah sapi Induk Brahman Cross (BX) berjumlah 80 ekor, sampel yang dipilih secara Purposive Sampling, hormon yang digunakan untuk singkonronisasi estrus yaitu  PGF2α (Lutelayse) sedangkan untuk IB menggunakan semen cair sapi Peranakan Onggol (PO) dengan motilitas di atas 40% sesuai standar SNI. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimental, dengan perlakuan pemberian pakan Feedlot jenis (PMP02) selama 1 bulan dan pemberian pakan Breeding jenis (BRW) sebagai kontrol, pakan yang diberikan berupa konsentrat, hijauan dan jerami padi.   Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimental, Jika ada hasil yang signifikan, dilanjutkan uji coba dengan perhitungan Chi-square. Variabel yang diamati adalah onset birahi (dengan pengamatan setiap 4 jam setelah injeksi PGF2α), karakteristik birahi (dengan cara pengamatan karakteristik visual kondisi birahi). Kebutuhan nutrisi berupa bahan kering dan protein kasar yang terkandung dalam pakan yang diberikan dilokasi penelitian belum tercukupi sehingga berpengaruh pada kualitas birahi yang dihasilkan oleh ternak sapi BX.
