ANALISA FAKTOR PEMBERIAN ASI EKSKLUSIF DI WILAYAH KABUPATEN GORONTALO

Abstract

Increasing exclusive feeding by 50% in the first six months of life is one of the six major global goals established by the UN decade of nutrition and critical to achieving sustainable development goals to eradicate hunger and end malnutrition by 2030. Exclusive breast feeding given during the first six months of life has been predicted to prevent 823,000 deaths in children under the age of five each year, reducing the risk of malnutrition and infectious diseases. But according to UNICEF, the prevalence of exclusive breast-feeding in the world is still relatively low to only about 40%. While the exclusive coverage of gorontalo county health services in 2018 is 46.91%. The study aims to analyze the exclusive breast-feeding factors in the gorontalo district area. The study is an analtic observational study with a community-based cross sectional approach. The sample in this study is a mother with a six-month-long baby with a total of 212 samples. The sample sampling is being taken using sampling. Based on the results of the statistic test, research has revealed a supportive family, maternal knowledge and parity with exclusive breast-feeding in gorontalo county.

Meningkatkan pemberian ASI eksklusif hingga 50% dalam enam bulan pertama kehidupan adalah satu dari enam target global utama yang ditetapkan oleh Dekade Gizi PBB dan sangat penting untuk mencapai berkelanjutan dari tujuan pembangunan (SDGs) untuk memberantas kelaparan dan mengakhiri kekurangan gizi pada tahun 2030. ASI eksklusif yang diberikan selama enam bulan pertama kehidupan telah diprediksi akan mencegah 823.000 kematian pada anak-anak di bawah usia lima tahun setiap tahunnya, dengan mengurangi risiko malnutrisi dan penyakit menular. Namun menurut UNICEF prevalensi pemberian ASI eksklusif didunia masih cukup rendah hanya sekitar 40%. Sementara angka cakupan ASI eksklusif dari dinas kesehatan Provinsi Gorontalo ditahun 2018 sebesar 46,91%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor pemberian ASI eksklusif di wilayah Kabupaten Gorontalo. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional analitik dengan pendekatan community-based cross sectional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu ibu yang memiliki bayi 6-12 bulan dengan total sampel 212. Tekhnik pengambilan sampel menggunakan consecutive sampling. Berdasarkan hasil uji statistic didapatkan hasil penelitian terdapat hubungan dukungan keluarga, pengetahuan dan paritas ibu dengan pemberian ASI eksklusif di wilayah Kabupaten Gorontalo.
