Abstract

This community service program aimed to strengthen parental well-being to improve the quality of parent–child relationships in Kelurahan Cawang. The topic was selected due to increasing parental stress in urban families and its impact on family interaction quality. A quasi-experimental quantitative approach with a one-group pretest–posttest design was applied to 25 parents. Instruments used were the Parental Well-Being Scale (McConkey, 2020) and the Child–Parent Relationship Scale (Pianta, 1992). Results showed a 72.07% increase in parental well-being and an 87.62% increase in parent–child relationship quality, with Wilcoxon tests indicating significant differences (p < 0.05). The findings demonstrate that promotive psychoeducation focusing on psychological well-being effectively enhances family interaction quality. This program contributes to strengthening family resilience and offers a replicable community-based intervention model.
