Focus and Scope
The Indonesian Journal of Agriculture Development and Sustainability (IJADS) is an international peer-reviewed open-access journal that publishes high-quality research articles in the fields of agricultural development, agribusiness, rural development, and sustainable agriculture.
The journal aims to disseminate scientific knowledge and practical innovations that contribute to sustainable agricultural systems and rural economic development.
Scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to:

IJADS welcomes interdisciplinary studies that integrate economic, social, environmental, and policy perspectives in agriculture.
The journal publishes original research articles, review articles, and short communications that contribute to advancing knowledge and practice in agricultural development and sustainability.

Peer Review Process
All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening conducted by the Editor-in-Chief to ensure compliance with the journal's scope and basic submission requirements.
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening will be checked using plagiarism detection software. Submissions with a high similarity index will be returned to authors for revision or rejected.
Eligible manuscripts are then assigned to a Section Editor and sent to at least two independent reviewers under a double-blind peer review process.
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, methodological rigor, relevance to the journal scope, and clarity of presentation.
Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief will make one of the following decisions:
- Accept
- Minor Revision
- Major Revision
- Reject
Before final publication, accepted manuscripts may undergo additional checks including formatting verification and AI-generated content screening.
The final decision for publication rests with the Editor-in-Chief.
Publication Frequency
IJADS is published third a year (April, July and October).
Articles are published online immediately after completing the editorial process.
Open Access Policy
The Indonesian Journal of Agricultural Development and Sustainability (IJADS) provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
All articles published in IJADS are freely accessible online immediately upon publication without subscription or payment.
This journal supports the Budapest Open Access Initiative and encourages the dissemination of scientific knowledge without financial, legal, or technical barriers.
Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author.
Archiving
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
