IMPLEMENTASI KEADILAN RESTORATIF PIDANA ANAK DI KEPOLISIAN RESORT KOTA GORONTALO

Abstract

The legal paradigm in Indonesia has undergone many changes, including the implementation of Restorative Justice in handling criminal acts. In-donesian Police Regulation (Perkapolri) Number 8 of 2021 is a reference for police institutions in resolving criminal acts through restorative jus-tice. The purpose of this study is to see how police institutions implement the resolution of child abuse criminal cases with a restorative justice approach. This research is a type of normative legal research supported by data or materials in the form of documents and interviews. The object of this research is the Gorontalo City Police Resort (Polresta Gorontalo Kota). The results of the study show that Polresta Gorontalo Kota in re-solving criminal acts throughout 2023, 21.6% have been resolved through a restorative justice approach. This percentage can be said to be small because in the internal police environment, there are still very few investigators who have the capacity to resolve criminal cases through restorative justice.
