Focus and Scope

JUIK (Jurnal Ilmu Komputer) Universitas Muhammadiyah Gorontalo. This journal was opened and released in 2021 Volume 1. No. 1 for the period February, June and October. This journal has the scope of Computer Science, Information Engineering, Software Engineering, Geographic Information Systems, Data Mining, Machine Learning, Image Processing and Information Systems. This journal can be a place for you to stream articles to be recorded so as to add insight for readers or reference seekers to find references according to related fields.

Peer Review Process

Each article sent to the editor will be selected through an initial review process by the Editorial Board. Next, a plagiarism check will be carried out using the existing plagiarism tool. Some policies in the review of JUIK (Jurnal Ilmu Komputer): 1. Reviewers will review any submitted paper. 2. Review process employs a double-blind review, which means that both the reviewer and author identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa. 3. In the review process, reviewers consider the correspondence of title, abstract, discussion (findings) and conclusions. Beside, reviewers also examine the novelty, scientific impact, and references used in the paper.

Jurnal Ilmu Komputer (JUIK) publishes fully open access journals, which means that all articles are available on the internet to all users immediately upon publication provided the author and the journal are properly credited. Jurnal Ilmu Komputer (JUI) operates under a articles of this journal licensed under a https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0. This allows for the reproduction of articles, free of submissions charge, with the appropriate citation information. All authors publishing with the Jurnal Ilmu Komputer (JUIK) accept these as the terms of publication.

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

Author Guidelines

JUIK is a journal written in Indonesian but does not rule out the possibility of submitting it also in English.

Some of the writer structures that writers must know are:

ABSTRACT (10pt BOLD)

Abstract is written in English containing a summary of the research results using font size 10 (times new roman) with 1 space. Abstract explains the problems in the research, solutions offered, research objectives, problem solving methods, and research results. Abstract is written in one paragraph with no more than 250 words.

 Keywords: contains keywords from the research

INTRODUCTION

Articles on JUIK are 10-15 pages long and uploaded in MS Word format. A maximum of 10 (ten) words are used as the title of the article. 

Articles are divided by category; (1) research articles, (2) technical articles, (3) conceptual articles, (4) case studies, (5) literature reviews, and (5) general reviews. Articles are written with an arrangement consisting of Introduction, Literature Review, Research Methodology, Results and Discussion, Conclusions and Suggestions, Bibliography and Appendix (if needed). The way of writing chapter titles follows this template by selecting the available style, namely Heading 1.

Authors must ensure that their writing does not contain elements of plagiarism. Articles that have been published as proceedings, are not accepted for publication in JUIK without going through a further process to complete the writing and final research data.

METHOD

The steps involved in the research, concept building, or case solving are described in the methodology section. 

Mathematical equations should be numbered consecutively and start with (1) until the end of the paper including appendix. This numbering should begin and end with open and close brackets and be right-aligned.

RESULT AND DISCUSSION

Results and discussion contain the findings of the research and discussion. Write down the findings obtained from the results of research that has been done and must be supported by adequate data. The results of research and findings should be able to answer questions or research hypotheses in the introduction.

CONCLUSION

Concluding remarks and suggestions. The conclusions illustrate the answer of the hypothesis and / or the purpose of the research or findings obtained. The conclusion does not contain the repetition of the results and discussion, but rather the summary of the findings as expected in the objectives or hypotheses. Suggestion presents the things that will be done related to the next idea of the research.
