Focus and Scope
Proceedings of the Muhammadiyah International Conference on Multidisciplinary Environmental Sustainability serve as a scholarly output of an international intellectual forum initiated by Universitas Muhammadiyah Gorontalo. This initiative embodies the actualization of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particularly in the domains of research and scientific publication. The proceedings act both as a medium for documenting and disseminating ideas and research findings presented during the seminar, covering a broad spectrum of disciplines including education, social humanities, Islamic studies, law, technology, and development economics.
The primary focus of these proceedings lies in the integration of progressive Islamic values with the challenges of contemporary global issues. This is the core significance of the publication: it not only compiles academic articles from scholars but also presents a dialectical exchange of thought that offers solutions to issues faced by both the Muslim community and the global society. Through a multidisciplinary approach, each contribution goes beyond theoretical discussions, aiming instead at practical and applicable outcomes.
Discussions emerging from each edition of the Muhammadiyah Gorontalo International Seminar consistently showcase a diversity of perspectives. Collaboration between local and international researchers enriches the depth and scope of the topics discussed. For example, under the theme Islam and Global Transformation, contributors do not only examine issues from a normative-religious standpoint but also through sociological, political, and digital technology lenses. This reflects how Muhammadiyah Gorontalo has successfully created a space where local academic traditions intersect with global discourses.
Furthermore, these proceedings contribute to the internationalization efforts of Muhammadiyah higher education institutions. Indexed in several scientific databases and assigned an ISBN, the scholarly works included are widely accessible and serve as credible references for future research. More than just a knowledge repository, these proceedings affirm Universitas Muhammadiyah Gorontalo's role as a bridge connecting Islamic values, humanity, and the advancement of progressive scientific knowledge.
