Abstract

This study aims to analyze the planning of sustainable development policies in the areas surrounding Lake Limboto through an integrated management scenario approach. Lake Limboto is one of the strategic ecosystems in Gorontalo Province, facing various challenges such as sedimentation, environmental degradation, and spatial use conflicts. In this context, development policies around the lake require structured, adaptive, and collaborative planning. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method through in-depth interviews, field observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that current area management is still sectoral and has not fully adopted an integrated approach. Through scenario modeling, the study proposes four policy alternatives: ecological conservation, revitalization of the local economy, cross-sector institutional integration, and the strengthening of a centralized data center and information system for Lake Limboto. The recommendations emphasize the importance of synergy among local governments, communities, and stakeholders to achieve sustainable, evidence-based, and equitable development of the lake area
